Fall is all about colors. From the leaves on the trees to the fashion on the streets, the change in colors is one of our favorite things about the season (that and pumpkin spice lattes).
So with September underway, here are the seven color trends we're most looking forward to this fall.
An updated take on bronde for blondes, this hair color trend is made for reheads. Ronze is a mixture of copper red and bronze brown, and works well on all complexions.
It was a staple back in the 90s, and now deep eggplant hair is making a comeback for those who have naturally dark hair and want to get in on the unnatural/natural trend without straying too far from their born-with-it color.
3. Bright Orange
For those who don't want a full-blown candy hue like cotton candy pink or punched-up purple, consider going for a bright, monochrome shade.
The term "babylights" refers to a technique of applying very fine strands of color throughout the hair with meche or plastic wrap. This technique helps the hair look multi-dimensional, while the highlights boost your color in a more natural way.
Consider this new hair trend the lighter, trendier cousin of the beloved rainbow hair that took over everyone's Instagram last year. It's a blend of pearl and light pinks, blues, purples, or greens.
6. Blue Tints
Let's be real: Unless you're a celebrity (or Marge Simpson), you can't get away with blue hair. So for the rest of us, blue tints are the perfect way to create a more subtle, real-life-appropriate effect.
7. Balayage Highlights
This hand-painted highlighting technique has been around for awhile, but it's making a resurgence in requests at salons around the country and around the world. And it's not hard to see why, as it gives the hair softer, less noticeable regrowth lines.
